Steam source for JK

Hello

I used to build levels with Jedit ALL THE TIME in high school--scary/sad to say that was 20 years ago now.

I've been able to reinstall Jedit, but I can't find a Jedi Knight data source. I remember back in the day having to link it to the game data; these days, however, I play the game through Steam, which operates differently.

How can I rig Jedit to play in 2023 when JK operates through Steam? When the program opens and it prompts me to link its resources, where do I avigate and what do I give it?

I'd love to start building levels again! Any help is appreciated.

I don't know why nobody has answered this but I would sincerely love to know how to make this work. I check back here every day hoping someone will help me out but nobody has.

Let's see, for Steam:

Select the game in the Steam interface (in the Library section), right click it, and select Properties...

In the Properties window, on the left edge, select Installed Files.

In the Installed Files tab, on the upper right is a Browse... button; click that.

It should open an Explorer window straight to the Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Jedi Knight folder where the game resides.

That, or maybe the Resource subfolder within, is what you'd copy&paste to the level editor.
