How do I scale something down in JED?

Hit F9 and it brings up a tools menu. To scale down enter a number between 0 and 1 in the scale box and click the button that says scale.

For instance:
2 doubles the size of the selected sector
.5 shrinks it to half its size
.333333 shrinks it to one third its former size
