well last time u said that for making a surface look like glass i should adjoin the surface and so on...
but the prob is that i ain't 2 sectors but 1...i'll explain : i want to make a glass between a room and space! understand? can u help me?

Actually, it's always 2 or more sectors. The room would be one sector, and space could be another sector. You'd adjoin the sectors, then you would change the surface flags on either side of the adjoin. Here are a couple tutorials that should help you out:

Well coz if i make a sector like space it'll be kind of ugly (u know like a room with black wall and white point) what i wanted to do was a glass beetween my room and nothing (the sky'mat will be a space one) but if i can't i've gotta make that adjoining...

"Space" *must* be a sector. If you try to adjoin a surface to something outside of the level, i.e. nothing, you will get HOM.

If the player can see an area that is not a sector, you have made a mistake.

If you want the player to look out a window and see nothing, the "nothing" must still be a sector. Just make it dark, large, and use a dark texture.

Can't you just cleave the surface and define it as stars and change it's flags to sky?

Yes, but it won't look as good. Also you can't do the window effect like that.
