I've made a terrible mistake with the quick n dirty template thing or whatever it's called and I need to put it back to the default.

IF you don't mind remaking all your custom templates in the lvl, you can start a new project, save it, and then copy its master.tpl (for JK) or mots.tpl (for MoTS) over the one that you messed up. This will be the best way to make sure you do it correctly. Or you can open the master.tpl/most.tpl in wordpad and go down to the line (near bottom) and change what is wrong. But it is a little tricky. I believe there is a number at the top of the file that tells how many templates are in it. Make sure all templates are in numerical order, and that the number of templates is accurate.

[http://forums.massassi.net/html/eek.gif] No!

First of all, you should have a copy of MotS.tpl or master.tpl in your project directory. That's the one that you make alterations to to get new stuff to work in your level(it's also the one Jed's template creator will 'write' to). I would keep a virgin copy in the Jed folder(as a backup).

In a text editor, open both your altered .tpl file and a virgin copy. WordFind for the template you need to replace. Delete the bad entry, and copy the original from the virgin .tpl file.

Carefully make your changes again.

Personally, I only use the Template Creator for the Bounding Box, Size, and MoveSize entries. There's a lot of phunky technical stuff in those templates. The sooner you get to know that stuff, the sooner you'll be a true Jed Master.

How do you find out what all that stuff means? The JKspecs!

It's OK, I just copied the template from version 0.94 and now it's fine.

P.S. Would n e body like to join my maze pack making team? (I am the only member so far)

I think a maze pack is a great idea. I'll help as soon as I can get MotS working again (for some reason MotS won't recognise the cd while Windows thinks it's fine) unless you were planning to use Jedi knight. Contact me at rdmotor@yahoo.com if you want to discuss exact things, halcyon.
See ya!

Rhett - There's no need to save a virgin copy - JED does for you, in the jeddata folder [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]
