How do i create an ally....

I figured out how to make an enemy an ally by messing with the templates and ai.

This is what i did:

I used the original 3do
I made the .ai file be Rebel Commando
I used the same pup file for the character
I used the _droidactor for the parent template.

Ok, so i go into the level, the Assassin Droid is all friendly and nice, and then i try to kill it (to see if it blows up, and what it's reaction is) i 'destroyed' it, all that happens is it seems like it just kills the pup file, 'cause it just stands still, and you can walk through it. How would i get it to explode how it normally does???

What cog did you use?

i only used a cog when creating a template, i used the rebel commando cog.
I am lost and could care less if someone finds me.

Try changing it back to the droid's cog.

lol the problem with that is:

The assassin droid doesn't have a cog! I looked through the _actor cogs and there wasn't a trace of the assassin droid cog!

Look again. If you look at the template for the assassin droind you'll see it calls this cog:

actor_ad.cog

ok, i'll try to find it. We're about ready to begin working on Imperial Construction Yards for the level pack, and i was thinking about having an assassin droid body guard for the player.
I am lost and could care less if someone finds me.

actor_ad was for the probe droid for some reason. I tried using a different guy, like the Scout Trooper (this is 4 mots) and it worked. I can't figure out how to get the max cog to work correctly with mots, is it only for jedi knight? In mots it just makes the assigned actor go walking like a person who has been spun around about an hour.

No - it wasn't for a probe droid (it does say that at the top of the cog for some reason though).

Here's the template for the probe droid:
