I want to know if sector cleaving affects the level's framerate. I have a small area where I have cleaved out several pillars and stairs in the sectors. The framerate is really bad here. Any comments or advice?

Yes, it does. Every adjoin makes even more work for the computer to process. The more adjoins there are, the harder the computer has to work. That is why it is better to merge as many sectors as you can without getting any concave sectors. [http://216.105.160.32/html/smile.gif]

Be VERY careful when merging sectors and use the consistency checker often. It will be very easy for you to end up with non-convex sectors.

For the love of God, use the consistency checker!
