Player 'sinks' into parts of a custom 3do

I've created a catwalk 3do for the Toxic Waste CTF level. The template looks fine and is set up correctly with _walkstruct as the parent template.

However, during gameplay, the player walks across the catwalk and 'sinks' into parts of it. Not all of it.

The catwalk has a single top surface.

Any ideas?

Thanks...

Raynar

It doesn't happen to cross between sectors does it?

No, it doesn't cross any sectors at all. I specifically designed the level to use single sectors to contain the 3do's.

The 3do's don't disappear when you look at them at different angles, which is the classic '3do across 2 sectors' problem.

The only difference between the catwalk and the other pipe 3do's is the thickness. The catwalks are rather thin.

Any other ideas?

Thanks...

Click on your 3do, press enter, then click "add value" and it will come up with add thingflags and click "ok" or whatever. Next click into thingflags and select "can be stood on"
Team Battle.

The 'can be stood on' flag is already set via the parent template '_walkstruct'. Just to be sure, I manually added the thingflags anyway, but still the problem persists.

Any other ideas?

Just to add to it, I tried using one of the LEC catwalk 3do's and it did exactly the same thing! Arrgh!

Anyone care to try it for themselves in a different level? The LEC 3do is '3x20catwalk'.

Thanks...

Ok, I found what the problem was. Would you believe it was because the catwalk 3do was placed too close to another 3do? The bounding boxes didn't intersect each other, and there was apparently plenty of room between them.

Hope this helps anyone else who comes across this problem.

That seems kind of strange.
