Before you say it, I do know how to make levels, I've already released 4 and started countless others.
The problem is I cannot make my CTF level work! Whenever I start it it loads up like a DM level!
I've read both tutorials and done what they said.
The only things in the level are the 3do's mentioned in the tutorials.
I've selected CTF(8) in the Episode editor.
The level has no problems I can see.
I've used all the cogs mentioned and they are all filled in.
At a guess I would have to say something was wrong with the CTF_Main.cog but I can't find anything!

Any help here would be hot.

You can ignore this if you want, but it might work...

Try finding a 'clean' copy of the cog that you can download from somewhere, and try using it. Past that, I have no clue.

Dont know what that clean copy is...
I have recently got ctf to work following the tutorial. I still am having problems with the score but all else works.
YOUR THINGS MUST BE IN THE PROPER ORDER>>>FOLLOW THE TUTORIAL.
Also cogstrings must be extracted from existing ctf levels and put into yours if you want the messages and voices to occur.

Ok, when you start up the level, does the player appear in your lobby, which then allows a choice as to which team to join?

When the level loads is there some text on the screen saying 'Welcome to CTF'?

The tutorial is one thing off...it forgets "0" is the first thing....im pretty sure you figured that out, so i will stay tuned to help if i can with more info.

Oh yah, there are also flags that must be added as values to most of those things...make sure those are right.

To answer the questions...
No you don't appear in the lobby.
No text appears.
Yes I do know about Thing numbers.
Everything is flagged as "used in cog" and as far as I can tell they are all flaged correctly.

10 to 1 it's something very obvious!

I've got it to load it as a CTF level (by extracting the main cog from a lec level and using that) but I'm still not appearing in the lobby!

I'll keep at it, maybe I can figure it out but please keep suggesting things. You never know!

Ok, if the text doesn't appear, you haven't included the ctf cogs in your gob file. You need the manually add each of them that you use.

If you don't appear in the lobby, you haven't created the walkplayer objects in the correct order. The first 8 walkplayers must be for the red team, the next 8 walkplayer must be for the yellow team. The next 16 walkplayers should be placed in your lobby.

Fixing these problems should get your level working.
