can .jkl replace .jed somehow?

For some reason when I was testing my level it froze and I had to restart. The .jed file wasn't saved and whole morning's work was lost. Is there anyway I can transfer the .jkl file into the .jed file so I don't have to start all over?

You can open the .jkl file in Jed just like you do a .jed file - HOWEVER - you may loose some information. This is especially a problem with lighting because of the way .jed and .jkl files record the lights differently.

Actually, you might be fine because I believe that JED stores the lighting info in JKLs it creates. Open up the JKL in notepad and see.

Only thing you'll lose is the layering information.
