Lighting, monitors, what should I do?
2001-01-28, 3:52 PM #1
Recently I figured out how to make lighting in JED (newbie alert!) Aaaaanyway... and I had just finished perfecting the lighting in a level based on a theatre. Suddenly, I realized, after all my tweaking, that my monitor was set on 100% brightness. Now... I was just thinking... if I turned the brightness down, everything would look dark and my work would be wasted. Should I keep it the same, or brighten things up? Also, for future reference, is there an average monitor brightness I should calibrate my monitor too while working on lighting?

It all depends on what people have their monitors set to.

You can try slightly increasing the extra light settings on the sectors if you just want to make everything brighter while keeping the lighting similar.
