This is part of another post, but it deserves its own topic...See "level crashing" to see where all this came from.

So here is the new shocking dilemna. I started up canyon oasis to see what happens in the same circumstances as the crash in my level. Checking for frameratye and shooting with the concussion rifle in LEC's canyon oasis is MAKING THAT LEVEL CRASH!!!!!

Turn on the framerate checker. Pick up the conc rifle and make sure u have a supply of ammo. Began blasting the wall that is directly before the ramp with the 3 healthpacks in it on the opposite side of the canyon. Try firing several times on that wall close to the floor but hitting the wall. You should be shooting from where you pick up the conc rifle. This will cause a crash. I've got it to occur on a faster computer than my own as well. What the frell is going on!?

Good. You MPers should be just about sick to death of constantly fraggin' on that map by now if you're sane.

Try something new.

Is this common knowledge?...because you dont seem suprised that this level is crashing.

Hey JLAW, I read your other post too, and I know exactly what you mean, this happened to me recently, on a level I was working on for the last MLP3, Wasted 3 valuable days trying to figure this problem too!, I did exactly what you did, and tried other previoulsy known to work levels also.
I dont know why this is happening, but I gobbed my level and play it while connected to internet, and couldnt get it to crash again. So try that and see if works for you,
Also worth mentioning, is that I too, like yourself was having problems when it was in a certain areas, leaving me to believe it was my level, concussions in certain area caused it, and thermal dets caused it in another area.
Only thing that was changed on my computer system recently was a new Voodoo5 pci card, which I think is my problem, and a new monitor.
Well thats about all I can think of, I know it doesnt answer the question of why, but I bet if you gobbed your level and played while connected to internet it will be fixed.

AMAZING! I loaded up JK before disconnecting and ran the level. You were right about this...it isnt crashing online.
So i guess it is okay to release the level since its for multiplay anyway, regardless of the disdain so many people feel toward oasis-mods or look-alikes.
