For some reason, whenever I cleave a sector in JED, this paper thin wall that you can only see on one side and walk through, and if I delete it, it shows up on the other side, and if I delete that, I get an HOM effect. How can I get rid of them? Thanks for any help.

DO NOT DELETE SURFACES!!!!!!!

That's a serious no no. What you need to do is select the surface that's showing up and hit enter to bring up the item editor. Then change the geo setting to 0.

Sounds like your surfaces got messed up when cleaving. It happens to me all the time. In 3-D preview and in JK you can walk through some surfaces that are visible on one or both sides, even though the geo is 0. You can set the geo to 4, then 0 again, or the easiest thing to do is go in to 3-D preview, click on that surface that's visible, press ALT-A to unadjoin, then CTRL-A to readjoin.

the geo option only has to do with whether or not the game draws the texture. if you want it to be passible or impassible you're looking at adjoin and face flags, not geo.

Also, cleaving a sector should not cause the geo to be set to 4 for the boundary between the two sectors in the first place. Something else must be the issue.

It seems to happen a lot to me when I undo cleaving in sectors.
