I have created a 3do to send to massassi and i wanted to take a screenshot so i placed it in a basic level and then tested the level. The template only comes up as a little 1x1 square. Does anybody know how to fix it or how I could take screenshots directly from Jed?

If it comes up as a default cube, it's most likely that one of the 3do's meshes has more than 300 surfaces. Try splitting it up into more meshes.

Uhh... Never mind the simple 3do thing... its got 572 surfaces. How do I split it up into more meshes?

Either that or it can't find some associated file (mats for example) because they aren't in the right subdirectory of your project directory.

There are no meshes... It is a basic 3do. Can I just take screenshots from Jed?

It must have at least one mesh. All 3dos do. If you've just made a simple 3do, it's probably only got 1 mesh. Has the 3do got over 300 surfaces?

Select one or more sectors of your 3do and set them into another layer.

If you have only one sector in your 3do, I'll have to cut it.

Jed treats layers as meshes.

So I just Split the 3do up into two or three parts, then go to the item editor, then change the name of the layer to anything i want?

If you just wanna get a picture, Open 3D Preview and hit PRINTSCREEN. Then paste it into a drawing program and save.
