Sounds don't show up?

OK, in a level I'm making I have voices at several points. The ones that I use the JK CD work fine, but the custom sounds (recorded in Sound Recorder) don't play. Anyone know why?

They don't work because you use sound recorder. JK requires certain properties for the wav that MS Sound Recorder doesn't support. You need to get Gold Wav. I think the link is www.goldwav.com but I'm not sure.
