this is kind of a continuation of a topic that someone else posted:
the very first time i tried to make an elevator, a long time ago, following the tutorials, it wouldn't work (this was with MotS). i found that the cogs that come in JED don't always work just by clicking on them when you go to "add cog" i don't know why. i found that if i extracted the same cog with conman and placed it in my proj dir, etc, then it worked just fine. why is that? is it something to do with MotS? it's wierd to me how you can add some cogs by choosing them from the list that pops up when you go to add cog, and they work just fine, but other cogs don't work that way. why is that? what i've done in the past is place them first using jed, then try them in my project dir if that doesn't work.
