In 3d preview you can press + or - to increase/decrease lighting, but im not sure if that shows up in the game. You usually have to incorporate shadows into the .mats when texturing...

a 3do is as bright as it's current sector.
the brightness of a sector is the average of the brightness of all vertices. extra-light does matter, too. if you set extralight for an sector to 100 (so the whole sector is lighted up) all objects in that sector would be fullylit too. the same thing with -100 (dark),...

Well, when I look at Z@nardi's or Gozstudios screenshots of their 3dos. They are lighted, in other words, Shaded more realistic. How would I do that

You have to do that when you make the textures.

I haven't tried it, so I'm not sure it works but there may be a way to light a 3do like regular architecture. Make the 3do as you normally wood in JED with sectors. Merge them all together and place the sector (your future 3do) where it will be in the level. Place your lights were you want them and calculate the lighting. Then convert the sector to a 3do. Make a template and insert the 3do as a thing into your level. Add a value in the item editor called "thingflags". Double click the blank and check the box marked "prelit". I think it uses the light you calculated when the 3do was a sector as the light for the 3do. Like I said, I haven't tried it, so I don't know if it works.
