I'm Semi-New, just one quick question. I'll take it you can't use 16bit BM's in the game menus just in the game?????!!!! I feel sure the only thing you can use em for is the good ole' in game icons.

Yeh IM guessing so, I tried to insert a 16bit BM for the opening screen, and caused JK an illegal operation everytime. Converted the BM to 256 colurs, it worked, looked crap though...

I don't know why it wouldn't work. I don't know if BMut supports 16 bit though.

BMut does support 16 bit. The .bmp must be TrueColor for this to work, however.

Well MikeC. Thank you, but are you positive it would work? I figured that maybe it was because the JK title screens ran ONLY 8bit. I will definitely try what you all said, but Why don't you try it MikeC, or do you already know you are right?

I've never tried it (I've never felt the need to mess with bm files). But I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work in theory.
