Setting initial force powers in JK

Hi,

I was wondering how to set the force powers you start with in the JK single player campaign. I can set the number of stars each power has, but I don't know how to enable those powers. I set the number of stars for each power in the items.dat file. I also set the rank of the player to master. So I end up with all the stars that I want but the powers are disabled on the force powers screen. If anyone could tell me how to enable these, I would appreciate it.

No - you don't need to bother with the items.dat file. You do it in the startup cog.

In Massassi's tutorials there is one on Single Player Force Powers. I wrote it. It will take you step by step through adding force powers and lists all the bin numbers for the different force powers.

Thanks Mike,

Does this work for the original JK levels? I am not making a custom level, I want to do it for the game, so I can go through the original 21(?) JK levels as a jedi. I didn't think that the JK levels had startup scripts. If that is true, where should I put the SetInvAvailable() call? Thanks for you help!

OK, now I got you. I thought you were making a level.

I've never done it for a mod so I'm not sure exactly where you would do it. It wouldn't be in the startup cog becaue there's a different one for each level. I think you can do it in the kyle.cog under the inits section too.
