Yes. You can either do one completely or modify the existing walkplayer template.

Thanks for the help MikeC. But another problem arises, the new character sinks down to his knees in the game, and I modified a multiplayer model to get my character. How do I make it so he doesnt sink like that?

There are 2 things you should check.
1. the bounding box
2. the insert offset (open the 3do in a text editor to change this setting).

If you modified the 3do in JOKE or Jed it could well be that the insert offset setting got messed up.

The later is probably the case. Open the 3do in notepad, and change it to:

INSERT OFFSET -0.000050 0.000000 0.120114
