GabrielBlumenthal (man that's a long name...), what program are you using to make the mats? If you're using MS Paint, I would highly reccomend that you go download the demo of Paint Shop Pro. (It's kind of large, but just connect to the internet and start the download before you go to bed, then it will be done by morning.) Now, download the .pal files MikeC was talking about. Now, open up the bitmap with PSP, and click on the (I believe) colors menu on the title bar. Go down to load pallete option (if that's not the right spot, then just skim around until you find it), and load whatever .pal file that corresponds with the colormap you're using. PSP will automatically choose the closest fit for any colors that aren't in the pallette file. Now, you just save the image, and then use MatMaster to convert it to a mat.
