Ive been messing with jed for a little while now ive done a number of massassi's tutorials and can do a lot of the more basic things even a few cogs (shudder)

so ive started doing a bit of a level but the prob is i dont really know much about how to do larger attempts into editing, the largest thing ive done so far is throwing a few tutorials together into one save

so any advice from you pros out there would be much apreciated

Well, you started out correctly with the tutorials. I would suggest that you continue reading them, and also, experiment. The people that know how to do neat things didn't just automatically know how... Open up JED and just play around a bit. Learn all the commands, and try new things. Also, think about what you would like to see in JK, because that's what editing is all about. (Then come back here, <in the showcase forums> and show us what you've done).
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Welcome to the Massassi forums! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

I didn't think I recognized your name when I say your posts in the JK2 forum. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm MikeC the moderator of the Editing forum. If you run into any prolems just drop me an email.

You're on the right path. Keep messing with Jed. Practice is the key. Play lots of levels and pay attention to the things in them that you like. Try and figure out how they were done.

If you want to try putting together a larger level, you need to start with a good idea. For SP especially, you need to have a good storyline for the level mapped out. Get an idea in your mind of the areas you will need to tell/play that story and build from there.
