Force Field Texture

I am using the cog from Nar Shaddaa Loading Terminal that controls the large forcefield. It works beautfully now thanks for everyones help.
Now comes a more interesting question. I am not fluent in cog yet so forgive me. I dont know where this is a cog prob or a surf prob.

When something strikes the field it turns pink. (The Force Field that is). A really ugly solid pink. So I changed the adjoined surfaces to be translucent and its less noticible.

I have tried to assign textures to it on both sides of the field and I see it in 3D Preview but when I start the level I think the cog counteracts that and clears the textures off.

Just wondering if I am able to either add a texture or change the color.. It's prb a cmp problem but I wanted to ask

Does sound like a CMP error.

Doesn't that cog have a material variable that you have to set when the forcefield is struck?
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Lassev: I guess there was something captivating in savagery, because I liked it.

Some forcefield cogs do not work with textured mats. That could be the problem.
