Spawn Locations on startup

Here's my deal. I created a level and expanded to the side and added some rooms. Then I decided I wanted to add a room of some sort below the main corridor (the original sector JED give you). So I dropped the floor.. set the origial surface to be a floor and set it back to what it was before I extruded the floor except for the corner where I am putting a lift.

Now when I start the level I spawn on the new sector floor instead of the floor upstairs where I want the player to go.

Any Ideas?

1. Make sure the walkplayer is still in its original location.

2. Make sure the surface is not adjoined.

3. That's really not the best way to create a sector underneath that one. Use the k key and click the mouse button to create a new sector. Then drag it down to the location you want it.

If you're going to extrude the floor to make a new sector underneath, then you should cleave a new lower ceiling for the lower sector. Paper thin floors and walls are frowned upon and can cause problems -- they are instead used for windows, forcefields, see-through grates, etc.
