i would like to make 6 very very complex 3d0 but when i mege the sectors theybecome one texture
any ideas

How about making them individual meshes?

Meshes are the various 3do parts that move seperately when you animate a 3do. For example, a stormtrooper would have right arm, left arm, head, torso, etc for meshes. Jed treats layers as Meshes when you export to a 3do.

You don't have to merge everything before you export the sectors as a 3do. Just multiselect all of them before exporting. The tutorial is written for an older version of Jed that only let you export one sector.
