Two problems
2001-06-05, 8:25 AM #1
Hi, it's me again Darth G. I have two strange problems that you can (i hope) resolve.

1) When I resize a 3do (with JED or FUN3DO), it appears to be created correctly (since it appears in the 3do preview screen) but during the game it shows that boring cube (I have not done any errors like wrong folder, wrong sector for the object etc.)

2) For a mysterious reason the command 00_soundtrack.cog doesn't work anymore. In other word the CD musics doesn't load! (but in the credits screen it does!) I have never changed anything of the cog either in res2.gob or elsewhere.

Please help me.... thanks

1: try a click on reload templates in the menu-bar of jed.

2: sometimes i have problems with the cd-music,too. but i don't know why or how to fix it.

You will sometimes get the dflt cube if your 3do has too many vertices in one mesh also... You might try dividing the 3do into several meshes...

Since I'm not very expert in 3do, can you tell me how to create various meshes?

Do the meshes correspond to the 3do's sectors?

thanks

One way to get seperate meshes is to cleave one mesh into 2 or so on. Then, take one of the meshes, and put it on it's own layer like tip, core, and top. Later man
