I know this may sound kind of stupid with all of these serious editing questions and all, but can someone tell me where I can get Mat16 or whatever program it is to make 16-bit mats.

Hi. Welcome to the massassi forum. I don't remember exactly where it's located, but Mat16 can be found at one of the hosted sites of Outpost D34.

Ummm...I looked all over for it on the site and other sites but I still can't find it. Could someone please post a link to it.
