Reset Level Lighting
2001-06-05, 11:32 AM #1
I've added some lights and then decided later I didn't like them. So I removed all the lights except for the default and I have recalculated the lighting except it still shows up like its lighted. How should I fix this?

Hmmm... Odd. Try the calculate lighting command again. I'ld also check the settings in you sector lights (if you've used sector lighting) and make sure you don't have the preview as fully lit option on.

That didn't help anything. In the .jed file I only see the main light in there and I didn't use an sector lights.

Does it make a difference in game whether I have fully lit on or off in preview mode? Anyway I tried it both ways and it is still very dark around.

If you only got 1 light in your level, its pretty normal that everything appears dark man [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] Put some lighting [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Also, check the intensity of your one and only light.. if its set too high, it might light lots of areas beyond what you wanna light...

AS for the Fully Lit option, you should only use Fully Lit when you texture the level, the rest of the time, don't turn it on so you can actually see what the level will (or rather MIGHT) look like in JK.

If you still have problems, try checking off the "use new lighting method" or something like that in the options...
