Jed crashing problem

jed crashes to the blue screen of death about a min after im editing the level..
the blue screen doesnt give anything that looks like its hardware specific just a hex number..

running
win98
128mb ram
Geforce 2
amd thuderbird 900mhz
kta7 raid motherboard
sb Live! x gamer 5.1
