i have placed Guns powerups etc and updated the level editor , saved Correctly but I cant pickup or even see anything.. just the Basic Architecture. also, is it better to have One Big sector, and Work within it or Connect different sectors with Tunnels, Doors etc..(expect a lot of Newbie editing Questions from me) [http://forums.massassi.net/html/rolleyes.gif]

It may be that the guns in your level are not properly assigned to a sector, that would cause them to get screwed up. Look at the sector option for the things and make sure they're assigned to the right sector. As for your second question, it really depends on what you're doing. if your making a conventional level, like the ones from LEC, it is usually advisable to work with little sectors connected together. However, for some levels, such as big open areas, an editor may choose to do what is called a skybox. It is basically one HUGE sector that's sides create a panoramic landscape. It's cool if you do it right, but a lot of people tend to screw it up (like myself). The disadvantage to a skybox is that you have to cleave your level completely out of the skybox which can be quite tedious for a newbie (and even for a veteran).

Hit F10 to bring up the consistency checker in Jed. It will find the bad sector settings for the 3dos for you.

Check the z axis setting (ie look at the side view) and make sure they are at the right elevation.
