making a door

hey im making a custom door..like the big slabs in the temple from the goldeneye level. Well i can't fiugre out how to get them to go up when you click on them. I read the door tutorail and they said "now choose a cog" which doesnt help since "I" do not know which cog to pic. btw this isn't a cog question i just need to know which one it is. Also is there a certain parent i should use as well..they don't mention which parent you should make the door 3do either.

the simplest cog for that is "00_door.cog"
otherwise i suggest you search for serveral door cogs in the add-cog dialog (mask: *door*) and read the descriptions of the cogs to see what they can doo. (switches,...)

for the template-parent:
you just have to use a parent, that offers solidity to the door:

structure - solid but you can't walk on it

walkstruct, zwalkstruct - solid and you can walk on it. for sloped doors --> /
(don't remeber exactly what's the difference between them. maybe zwalkstruct makes a metal sound when you walk on it)

i hope that helps [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]
