how do I know if my 3do has to many surfaces?

If it has more than 3oo surfaces per mesh, it has too many surfaces.

there's probably an easier way to do this, but i use the vinkel plugin to count the surfaces. i din't know if jed can tell you itself or if there's another plugin that just counts surfaces, but vinkel will go through all surfaces or just those you selected and add or remove a floor flag. afterwards it tells you how many surfaces were processed and how many had flag changes. once i know how many surfaces were processed i know how many surfaces there are. then i just revert to saved. iy's actually pretty easy, but i'm sure there's an even easier way...
