Skinning A 3DO
2001-06-11, 7:10 AM #1
I was trying to create a new 3DO based on one of the skins in BFP. So I opened the 3DO and changed the skins for the chest and the back to start out and make sure I could figure it out with the tutorials. When I tried to launch the game and use the char JK would fart when I went to select the char.. it I hardcoded it using the MP model files it would load load up but my char had the grey/yellow grid on his chest and back.. I put the desired mats in the 3DO/mat dir which would match up with what the original would have been.. Any Ideas?

Here's a trick. Don't bother changing the mats on the 3do, just change the mats themselves. Make the mats, then give them the names of the mats on the 3do, and put them in the 3do/mat directory. This way, you just have to make the mats, and don't have to edit the 3do at all...
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.
