I thought it would be cool to put Mechwarrior 2 (regular, not platinum or whatever) music in some SP levels for my TC. Is this illegal?

Heck, while I'm at it, anyone who wants to help me make levels or anything?

For my first level, I thought it would be cool to have to kill your boss and get a ship for level one.

it's not illegal if you don't get caught. in other words, you wouldn't want to release it 'cause you'd be seriously flamed.

you mikeC you seem to talk about ILLEGAL stuff alot.. well you know what JK has a copyright so techniquley THESE mods and levels and crap are moddifing the game there for breaking the copyright isnt' that illegal? and you know what i think, i think anyone could do what ever they want.. hey man go ahead and put mechwarrior music in there.. jsut dont' host it here.. go somewhere else cause i know there are lots of levels and mods that have there own music!

The JK license has specific provisions that allow creating mods and levels. There are specific provisions. When I talk about something being illegal, its because those provisions or other copyright laws are being broken.

Now, I'm closing this so it doesn't turn into a debate about wether or not it's ok to rip off other people's work. Intelectual property rights are serious and should be respected.
