1. In JED, I was just wondering if I was restriced to building within the grid or if I can expand past it.

2. If 10 Meteres is approximately 1 JKU.. How many pixels = 1 JKU?

3. I know that Mat Master will only take Square mats (Ex. 64 x 64) But I see that there are mats in the JK Gobs that are not squares. Is this a restriction enforced by Mat Master or By Jedi Knight?

1. There are no restrictions of the SIZE. You can change the grids size in the options. And you can edit outside the grid. And if you need the grid, where you edit, move it

2. 1 JKU would be 320 texel (pixel of a texture) but there is no texture that yould fit without beeing scaled. a simple 64x64 texture (unscaled) fits with 2x2 metres, 0.2x0.2 JKU

3. jk-texture don't need to be a square. just the length of both sides must be a power of two. that means all combinations of 2;4;8;16;32;64;128;256;512;... are possible.
for example: 128x64; 256x2;...

Nix the 512. JK doesn't like anything bigger than 256X256. It varies from machine to machine, but that's the largest that consistently works.

yep you are right. i just was too fascinated by these integer-sequence
(512; 1024; 2048; 4192;...;65536 <--- ok i don't have all of them in my mind.
