Way to Advoid Lots of Cleaves?

I have a fairly complex sector that I would like to adjoin to another, larger sector. Beyond cleaving the exact hole in a surface in the larger cube is there a way to ajoin the two using a plugin or other technique?

Here is the deal. You can use Adjoin Jiffy. But, you must have the same amount of vertices on the surfaces you want to adjoin. It's a neat prog. But It has the above limit. Anyway... That is what I suggest. Good Bye! Code Alliance has that prog.

Just use the join command in Jed.

Multiselect the two surfaces you want to adjoin and hit j - it will cleave them to match and make the adjoin.

The plugin didn't work, but lets see if I'm doing this right. I select one sector, hit f, hit n until I have the right surface and press spacebar. Then I press s, hit n until I get to the right now, press spacebar again, and press j. Nothing happens. Is there a different way I should be doing this?

Try this. Open up the 3d preview. Hold down shift while you click the mouse on one of the surfaces. Then move to the other surface you want to adjoin. Hold down the shift button and click on this surface. Now you should have them multiselected.

Get out of the 3d preview and back to the main screen. Then hit j.

The join command is dead sexy and works well with most surfaces. The only problem is that sometimes it cleaves all weird the surfaces and when you go to do lighting it scews it all up and you're stuck with a sector that could choke a donkey!
