Custom colormaps and mats

Does anyone know how to assign a custom made colormap to a mat file? Does it involve coding? If so, what type? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/confused.gif]

The question itself is a little confusing. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/redface.gif]
Is there a specific problem you're experiancing?

A level should consist of one CMP and many mats. That one CMP, as you know, is defined in the Level Header.

Does the mat work on your custom CMP? If not, have you considered making it 16-bit?

When you convert a bmp to a mat in MatMaster you can select what cmp you want to use. Just select your new one.
