Is it possible to make ladders in JK? Im talking the ones like in Half-Life or other games like that where you just point yourself at it and run and you go straight up it. Its for a multiplayer game, and I just want to allow people to go up and down a floor (if Kyle was standing in the lower corridor, the floor of the upper corridor would be about 3 feet above his head).
I'm thinking elevators would break up the flow for such a short distance, and there's not really room to put steps in. I thought possibly have a tube up with a sector thrust and a tube down with a non-hurting floor, but that seems a bit messy I think.
Well, any thoughts or ideas welcome.

it is possible. i saw it in an sp-level. (forgot the name)
but it does not work so good like in halflife. and you have to write a complex cog.

Just have a small sector around the ladder 3do and when someone enters the sector have their physics flags be set to 0x2000 "fly mode" and when they exit that sector, have those flags cleared.

there is a ladder cog somewhere around here. you might need permission to use it but it just takes a sector or sectors and makes it to where you can move up or down them.
