How do I put new saber models i have created in jk?

I cant work out how to put the new sabre I have created into JK. I have the 3do but i dont know where to go from there, can someone help me please.

Not really my area of expertise, but I think you need to edit the models.dat and make a patch with patch commander.

ok, i think i got the problem nailed now. When i select my lightsabre, it uses the 3do of the weapon i was just using before it but still creates the green beam. Anybody know how to correct this.

That happens when a 3do is missing... maybe you named your 3do wrong.

Could anybody point me in the direction of a good tutorial to help me put new saber handles in.
