I read somewhere that 16 bits didn't have mip maps. I used Mat 16 to convert some new mats and they are kind of messed up. In JK the mats look fine when you are up close but they turn completely black as you get farther away.

I had that problem with a 16 bit mat I put on a 3do. I turned of the create mip maps option in Mat16 and it worked fine after that.

Don't use mipmapping with Mat 16. You will see black from a distance. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]
