Sound (and other) problems

I was testing a level on the Zone earlier and for some reson, unknown to me, sound from saber swings/hits disappeared and also punching people didn't work.
Anybody know why these would occur?

Were you using custom sounds?

Nope, I think the punching thing's something to do with JKedit, not sure about the saber though
