Ahh!!! my lighting works but it makes everything purpley (purple-y) Whats going on?

I'm assuming you didn't choose purple lighting for your lights or sectors.

If some of the mats or spots on the mats are pink/purple then you have a colormap problem. You need to select the right colormap for the mats you're using.

All sectors and the level itself should be set to use the same colormap. Multiselect all the sectors, hit enter to bring up the sector settings, the third setting is +COLORMAP, double-click there to bring up the list. Also under Tools, open Level Header Editor (F6) and select the same colormap for Master CMP.

No, all the textures were working fine and i had the right colormap for my level, but then when i put lighting in, things went purple and stuff. Another thing changed to blue!

I have absolutely no idea other than make sure your not using the default color map.

I am having the same problem! The level looks fine with the lighting in JED, but looks all purply and crappy in the actual game! Please solve our problem someone!

Some mats may look fine with the wrong colormap in JED but in game they may show wierd colors because the mip-maps are using colors from the wrong CMP.

As KoG_Waymoot said, the most common cause of pink and purple is when your sectors and level are set to the dflt.cmp.

MY LEVEL LOOKED FINE UNTIL I PUT LIGHTS IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS PROBABLY NOT colormap problem!!!!!!!!
