How about this...
Eyeoffset does allow you to see the player at a greater distance away, but it turn you (At that distance) with the player. So you're camera view is kinda like zooming around the player. Can the camera's (Not the player's) rotation velocity be set in some way to 0? So the camera only follows the player but doesn't move zoom around it?
