Compiling a map file will create the bsp file. The bsp file should be found in your maps directory in the gamedata/base folder.

You may be suffering from that bug people have been experiencing, the compiling is error free but creates no BSP. *shrug* Not much you can do to fix that...

Try this:

1) Move your .map into the base/maps folder.
2) Open it w/JORadient and compile it
3) Run JO SP (just to test it), bring up the console, and type map nameofyourmaphere.

On the main menu bar, click the BSP dropdown menu and select one of the BSP compiling options. I'm still trying to figure out what the difference is between them. Anyway, that worked for me.

Pick any of the BSP things then wait. After ta while the DOS box will disappear on its own and u'll b left with a bsp file in ur maps directory.

The difference is that some of them are faster, but leave out things (like lights, textures, stuff)
