Ste:

Check you PROJECT settings to make sure you are using the MP entities. For naming it, I tend to use the primary game type to form the start of the map name, i.e CTF_Llawnroc is my current one.

Just use WINZIP or head over to www.eliteforcefiles.com and download PAKSCAPE to create your PK3 file. If you use WINZIP remember to have the option for use folder details switched on and rename the file to PK3.

Hope this helps you out and look forward to playing your map.

JKedit? *sigh* :P
Anyway, if its a plain old FFA map, you simply need to place info_player_deathmatch entities throught the map. If its a team based map, then you need red/blue team playerstarts as well. You need to make a small file called an 'arena' file that makes you map selectable in whatever game mode you want in-game. To find out mow to make one of these download a user map, and rename the .pk3 file to a .zip file. Open it up, and look in 'scripts'. In there you will find a file called xxx.arena (xxx being the name of the map you downloaded) open this in notepad, and make any changes pertaining to your map, and save it in your own base/scripts folder, renaming it to yourmapname.arena. To make .pk3 file, I also suggest reverse engineering someone elses .pk3 file to see how its done. You could also check out one of the many tutorials on the subject. Have a look on JK2.nets editing forum for a big list of tutorial sites etc.
