Destruction and Forcable Objects
2002-06-01, 5:38 PM #1
Hello, I am a little new to mapping and editing and I was wondering how to make bridges or platforms destructible. I also would like to know how to make objects such as rocks able to be moved with the force.
Thank you for your help.

Well, to make things break, select the thing you want broken (Shift+click) then right click select func then func_breakable. As for the force thing, I can't help you there.

Hope that helped! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Thanks.

If anyone can help me with the force-object issue, it would be greatly appreciated.

If you are trying to put this in a MP level, it won't work BTW.

I figured it wouldn't work in MP because I have never seen a MP map with destructible ledges. This is for a single player map I am going to create(when I have had some practice, that is).
edit: Wait, what about the Carbon Freeze map. That had a breakable window and some parts of the walkway were breakable.

Destructable objects work perfectly fine in multiplayer. I've made two maps that have several destructible objects that explode when damaged enough. Force affected items, however, I am unsure of. Haven't played with that yet, but probably will try in the future
I have spoken.

items that can be moved by the force are made then while selected make them a fun_door. tick the force box and your in business.

I want to know because some friends and I are going to start work on a Yoda mod and Dagobah needs some rocks to move around and an x-wing to move up and down with the force.

lol, you could take care of Count Dooku by chucking an X-Wing at him. hahahaha
