I'm trying to make a room. when I put the player start thing in I get a fatel error and Radiant shuts down. WHat's wrong?

Make sure your stat isn't touching any other brush, i.e the floor.

stat? you mean start?
and it crashes when I click on info>player start, it doesn't give me time to move it.

Yeah make sure your player start isn't touching the floor or you'll fall right through

He's not talking about 'in-game' errors, from what it sounds like. It sounds like he selects the info_playerstart entity -> and radiant takes a nosedive.

if you're using JORadiant, try using GTKRadiant... pretty much the whole q3 community can tell you how they prefer GTKRadian to plain old Radiant.. so far its applicable to JO too...

I used to have the crash-when-placing-player-start bug quite frequently. And that was when using the 202 build of Radiant, Ravens Radiant is build 147 I believe. Luckily, since moving to GTK I never get this bug now.
