How can add a downloaded skin or one that I have created into an NPC that can be added to a single player level?

You have to rename it to replace Kyle. As to how you go about that, someone else can explain.

Hi!

All of the NPC's are hard-coded in "jk2gamex86.dll" !. So we must find a way to modify this file. Only NPC-Names coded in this file are working right in Single-Player.
I have tried it with erasing Luke with "xxxx", then he was "stupid staying around" without the saber and with blaster between his legs ;-)

No offense, but I think your wrong, you just need to edit the npcs.cfg in the assets0.pk3.
Oh, and editing any DLL is illegal, and I don't think you would want to do that.

Try putting the skin in a pk3 file and have it replace, say a rodian (greedo if you don't know what what a rodian is) then put the pk3 file in your gamedsata/base directory and run the game and do "npc spawn rodian" and see if it spawns your skin. I'm not sure If it'll work or not, but try it anyway if you want.

Hi,

just editing of the "npcs.cfg" bring you nothing. You can not append any new NPC, if you do this, it wont work!. This new NPC will spawn, but it will not fight and has it'
s weapon between the legs...
You can only replace any of the existing NPS's, but it's not that, what I want.
