Scripting Tutorials - Where Can I Find One For JK2?
2002-07-14, 9:49 AM #1
Hi!
No matter how many tutorials I write and how many tricks I may know, I am always limited to what I can really do for my levels. So, I sort of really want to learn how to script properly!
Does anybody have any links to tutorials I can view/download for scripting in JK2?

I am a bit confused, I have got the JK2 Editing Tools 2.0 though, but what program(s) do I need to create scripts?
I wish to play around with them since they've told me that scripting is pretty easy and self-explanatory so I wish to play around before I start reading serious tutorials!

I want to try out detecting an enemy has died and spawning another, like that on the "Ladder" maps...

Thanks for your time and help and please reply as soon as possible...

Yeah, just read the manual, it's simple enough.

I've only made it to page 10 so far and I'm lost like a blind man in a totally dark room looking for a black cat that isn't there.

but that's beside the point.
does the manual give a complete sample script? (without the lengthy explanations and such)

SPscripts.zip contains all SP scripts from JO.

I would recommend consulting the manual for each thing you want to do instead of reading it all at once.
