I'm working a MP level similar to the Beachead MP Demo for RTCW.

My questions:

How do I create the meteor shower effect found on the Artus Mine level?

How do I add ATST (non-drivable) to MP?

How would I add emplaced guns to MP?

1. meteor shower don't know, sounds like an effects thing.
2. at-st, well if it's not in the models list then you may not be able to use it in MP
3. emplaced guns, i'm pretty sure you can't use them in MP

one of the official MP levels has an atst in it so it has to be able to work in MP.

BTW, Does anyone know of a GOOD, Thorough (sp?) tutorial on Bot Nav. (I can only find well done single player ones for NPC nav)

There's one that comes with the JO tools.
Bassoon, n. A brazen instrument into which a fool blows out his brains.

The meteors are effects.

Thanks! Another question however:

How do I modify the bespin shader to produce light instead of it just creating a dark but sky-boxed level?

If you mean the one I think you mean, it should already produce light.

The one that I'm thinking that you mean is the "bespin" shader under "skies". It's supposed to produce it's own light, which is what it usually does for me(except when I put glass between it... not sure why...)

Um... it isn't... but the skybox looks pretty. I made a box around my level and made it hollow... could that method of skyboxing create my lighting problem?

not all skyboxes have light, it may just be one w/o light.

there multiple bespin skies also, try another one of them

atst in the mp nar map, is just a model

i dont know if you can have emplaced guns in MP
Shaving is not a high priority with Jedi.
Would you want to shave with a lightsaber?

I don't like quake, never liked quake, and don't like Star Wars quake. So basically jk2mp.exe never gets used on my computer.

Well... my map looks great except I can't get the proper bespin sky shader to do light. Anyone know which one it is?

Here are the shaders that aren't producing light:

skies/bespin

Could an author whose used bespin shaders in MP tell me which to use? You'll be mentioned in the credits if that'll serve as incentive...

I haven't tried:

bespin/sky (i think I may have but I compiled the bsp around 25 times just to test out framerate, etc.)

bespin/sky_platform

Well, my 26th compile seems to have cast a light but it's a nebula! (skies/orange_light) eek! It makes the orange_rust texture look worse!

Just so everyone knows it's real and in development...
