are you going to be able to download/create extra levels for jedi outcast on the xbox, seeing as it has a harddrive?

No.

Why not? It has a hard drive and other games will be able to
2002-10-24, 4:57 AM #5
lol... JEd and Radient use completely different ways of making levels.
And i doubt they would put even radient on the xbox.. though i suppose they could use Gmax, but that would have been anounced by now.
2002-10-24, 4:58 AM #6
and no its not the "same dif" they both use two different engines. JK the sith engine i believe and JO the q3 engine.

This guy obviously has no idea what he is talking about. I highly doubt you could make ANYTHING for a console game. Just get the PC game version and use that.

Yes I do know what I am talking about; there is an rpg for the x-box where users will be able to create levels for others to download. I'm sorry that I am unfamiliar with the editing functions of JO, JEd or whatever. Besides, anyone who qoutes from a computer game really does have no life.

What the hell does that have to do with anything? You know what, maybe if all you do is play football then you would have no life either. Some people just enjoy working with computers just as someone else could enjoy working on a car or playing a sport. Just because someone makes a quote from a video game in no way indicates that have no social life. You have never met SavageX in person, so saying something like that is extremely ignorant, and only makes you look like a dolt to everyone else.

1) X-Box [Eats pie]. Period.
2) An in-console editor, even with a hard drive, mouse, and keyboard, would never have the flexibility or robustness of PC editor
3) Emon hit the nail right on the head. And, just because someone might know a lot about games doesn't mean they, say, don't go out with their friends, or aren't social. [Let's all just be friends! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif])

That was uncalled for (not to mention it's a piss poor insult). Yes, I do not have a life and I'm not ashamed of it. I highly suggest you grow up and learn to control that mouth of yours. Insulting others like that isn't appreciated around here. In fact, shouldn't that be called for a banning or is that not classified as a proper insult on this forum?

1) Just because I don't know the editing functions for JO or JED doesn't mean that I'm a jock. I enjoy working on a computer also. I just don't go quoting from a computer game for obvious reasons. I mean, how would it sound if I said to my friend something like, "I have nothing to declare except my genuis." - one of the many one-liners of Captain Kirk, because I did something smart? Or, "Never trust a bartender with bad grammer." - Kyle Katarn, because someone didn't take the time to write out a full sentence? If you want to, though, don't get me wrong, all the power to you. I'm just saying that if you start quoting from computer games on a regular basis, you might want to lay off for a while.

2) You wouldn't have to have an in-console editor. Maybe you could edit on pc and submit it to a site where people could d/l on x-box. I'm sure someone could come up with an editor or something for the console version.

3) I didn't mean to insult. Sorry. I was just in a pissy mood that day.

(x-box does not suck!)

Oh boy... that is sad. Do you really think I quote games on a daily basis? That's just dumb. It's a goddamn signature for crying out loud! I thought that quote from the game was funny so I decided to use it as a signature. You really got to stop over analysing stuff like that. That's just really, really pathetic. You won't survive long on these forums with that attitude of yours.

I don't know what the hell's going on. I just came back from vacation and I checked my e-mail, and theres like 50 things from massassi saying that I have replies or something from some forum. So I check it out, and everyone's mad at amen_ra (me?). I would just like to say that that was not me and it was probably my friend messing around or something (he's not too...pleasant sometimes). Sorry SavageX.
Does anyone know how to change password? Or do I have to get whole new user name, because I like amen_ra. Makes me feel powerful.

Lol that's one of the funniest attempts at shifting blame I have ever read lol.

It was my mate mucking about, why was he on your computer, why was he in your house, posting messages on Massassi. Honestly that is really funny i think, you've got to give him cred for even trying it lol.

LLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEE.

How come you would have the exact same grammar and spalling as the one who "made that account", and how would you know the account's password?

Well said, Wudan. I like Boba Fett too, and also cuddly Ewoks.

Why haven't the administrators shut down this thread yet? Why is it not being moderated? Emon gave a clear answer, and that could have been the end of the story.

But now a group of regular and very well-respected Massassians have been dragged in to a fight and decided to punish a newcomer for his 'ignorance' concerning computers? Think back - surely you were all once in the same position? Perhaps you are arguing with an adult able to take a knocking, or perhaps it is a twelve-year old kid who doesn't know how to respond diplomatically? I hope noone is really sending emails direct to him?

An appeal to SavageX (who created the first level I downloaded), Pommy, Emon, you are all legends in JK game design, so how can some snappy remarks from one kid harm you? 'amon_ra' is already showing signs that he wishes he had not gotten started on this feud.

Please, end this now and take the high ground.

First off, I have absolutely no skill in JK editing. None.

Secondly, I wasn't trying to be offensive. I just found amen's remarks somewhat offensive to myself. I'm not particularily fond of stereotypicalism.

Finally, unfortunately, this forum isn't moderated much. I agree with you whole-heartedly that this thread has taken a nasty turn, and I sincerely apologized. I was rather irritated that day, and though that shouldn't be an excuse for my irrationality, I ask your tolerance. I have edited my post, seeing it's innappropriateness.

Why thank you, I'm flattered!

His remarks aren't harming me at all, I'm just pulling out the BS meter for that cheap coverup of his.

Sorry if I sounded a bit brutal in my posts to amen_ra. The reason is because I found his little insult of saying I had no life for quoting a game was a bit low and a bit dumb. Like I said, it's a signature. It's not like I was typing that out in every post. I'm guessing Amen_ra felt the need to bash me because he must had felt that I was insulting him in someway in my first post in this thread. That was not at all my intention. If it was that comment that started this feud, then I apoligize for any hurt feelings.

Oh my gosh. I don't even like Star Wars. I signed up for the forum because I liked the game. I started the topic because I was curious about the Xbox version of the game, then went on vacation. my friend stayed at my house while I was gone, and I'm sorry that I couldn't control him while i was not there If he was on the internet, he could have very easily used my name on the forum, because my computer saves my passwords so that when I try to post a topic, or check my e-mail, my user name and password are already there. You don't have to belive me. Hell, I wouldn't belive it, but its the truth so live with it
